Scroggiehill

Located on the outskirts of Almondbank, this site is nestled within existing stone walls and established trees. It was acquired but the client with planning consent, we revised the design to make the most of the sites southern aspect and views. As the site has public access along the north boundary and overlooking from the neighbours we proposed an L-shaped courtyard floor plan which provides the privacy, protection from the elements and an evening sun trap.

The house is designed to passivhaus principles of well insulated external fabric, air tight and thermal bridge reduced detailing and ventilated with MVHR and will be constructed with ecological materials of timbers frame and wood based insulation products.
