Henwood Crescent
The site is a small pocket of land tucked between rear gardens of dwellings and a former chapel. A tricky site site build and obtain planning required a sensitive approach. The single storey courtyard dwelling was designed to have minimum visual impact on the neighbouring dwelling, to have the appearance of garden fencing/outbuildings. As well as minimising impact on the neighbours we wanted to ensure comfort and privacy for the clients.
The house was built by the client on a modest budget so simple and affordable detailing was essential. Its a cellulose insulated timber frame, finished with timber cladding and a planted a roof which has had positive feedback from the neighbours.
