East Torrie Farm

This small site is located on the north side of a large stone barn which serves the farm. To the north of the site there are stunning views of Ben Ledi and the Trossachs. The design was developed with the client (also an Architect) , and was inspired by wood cabins and rural out-buildings.

The client wanted to explore the possibility of building the house to the Passivhaus standard, after modelling the house on PHPP it was determined that the site was too over- shaded by the barns and the hills to the south of the site. The client is looking at other options on the farmland.
