Hardwick

The site, the remains of a former theatre, is a complicated split level site flanked by a flint wall and a brick fives court structure. The three bedroom house will wrap around the fives court structure, an open plan kitchen, dining and living area will cantilever beyond the existing structure with views of fields and the River Thames to the South-West. The lower level provides storage and a work space.

The house will be constructed with a recycled steel frame to create the base, then a timber frame insulated with blown wood fibre insulation. It will be clad with timber cladding from the local sustainably managed woodland.
